I've had a bit of a blog break...
But enough of that... I'm back with more diy-ing and more projects made from the old fence down the back. That fence has satisfied many a diy project around here.
We have made a feature wall, noticeboard, cabinet frame for the fridge and now
some bedside table lamps...
I love the texture - its almost yearning for some crisp white walls now...
I made the floral pillow cases from an old tablecloth that belonged to my Grandma. I just love vintage materials because of the life it has already lived, but mostly I love this fabric because it now lives on with my family in the next generation. These cases fit our reading pillows (must make more time to read this year) - so lots more stories to be shared over this fabric.
I love them with the new lamps too - they start to weave a connection because they each come with a story behind them.
And a mirror frame.
I was in Moroccan painted frame love for a while, bits the shift towards tactile has given the barn or the weathered beach house look to the bedroom. This frame calls out for a Carrara marble top on this old chest of drawers...
It never ends.
Theres always a project around the traps!
